Just joined my first online league (OOTP6) and I figured someone her could give me some quick advice on the process for downloading the league file, making changes and exporting back to the commish. Any help would be appreciated.

Download the league file to somewhere you’ll remember where it is; your desktop, or a specially-made folder, are good places.
Unzip the file. Most OotP leagues’ zip files are set up to be extracted into the OOTP5 (or OOTP6, depending on which version your league uses) folder. One way or the other, you need to set up a League.lg (League being the name or initials of your league) folder for the league in your game directory. Once this is installed, go into your Out of the Park game, ‘Open’ the league, and go to your team and make your adjustments. Once these are made, and you are online, go to ‘Team setup’ and hit ‘Export team to ftp’ and that is all you need to do to put your team changes into the Commish’s hands. |

Now I notice your league uses v6 of the game. Please ignore all my v5 references.

Also, keep in mind that there are certain transactions that you cannot do on your end. Trades, player releases (in many leagues) and FA/extension signings all have to be done on the commissioner's end, for example.
