I'm not much of a salesman so I'll let the league sell itself. You can find us at Ultimate Baseball. I will give you a rundown of some of the features of our league:
-OOTP6 (only unused feature at this time is Rule 5) -3 SIM's a week (on-time) -Amateur draft lottery -draft pick trading -revenue sharing -Franchise/marked players (see rules for more detail) -Stadium modifications (luxury suites/suites) -Team Ad campaigns -potential relocations The most important plus of the UBN is the low owner turnover rate. At most we lose 2 owners a season and that is probably too high. For a stretch of 4 seasons we didn't lose an owner and actually added two franchises. We are currently in our 9th season of simming and are approaching the 2 year mark in real time for the league. We are established and around for the longterm. We've just started our current season and two teams (Kansas City and Seattle) could use some TLC from a dedicated owner. I won't sugar coat things and say the two available franchises are ready to compete for playoff berths but both had solid owners who left the league on good terms and the teams in decent shape. These haven't been revolving door franchises by any means so stepping in you'll have some players to work with. Keep that in mind when deciding if this is something you want to be a part of. If you are interested in joining our league feel free to email me a little bit about yourself. If you have questions about the league I'm sure you can check the owners page and contact any of our members. Many frequent these forum's so maybe they'll put their own plug in. I look forward to geting some quality applicants. Anyone who is interested should use the aforementioned email link and send me the following info: -Age (not a deal breaker by any means, we have a couple of wet behind the ears boys in the UBN already) -OOTP experience -1 or 2 (preferably 2) references from current leagues Also, you need to own OOTP6 - this is a no-brainer. -Tom UBN Commissioner Last edited by thickman1; 07-19-2004 at 12:14 PM. |

Guys, this is a great league that Tom puts a lot of time into. Great owners as well! Competition is always high, looking back at the past I think we had three years where we almost had a three way tie for the wild card in the AL.
Please do check it out, Angel Perez |

This league is one of the best ones out there... I'd highly recommend this league to anyone as Tom is one hell of a commish and makes the league very fun.

Comments about the UBN
I don't usually post on these message boards and I had to get the forum to email me my username/password because it's been so long since I used it but it was worth the trouble to help spread the good word about the UBN. Tom is the commish people dream of - dedicated, punctual and honest. This is by far the best league I have been in using Sierra's Front Page Sports to version 6 of OOTP.

As Matt said, both slots have been filled.
Thank you to the league members who hyped up the league and to those who applied for admission.
