"must remain on the active roster or DL all season"

That would be fine. I player I took in the Rule V draft needs to be on the active roster or DL all season. So, he was injured when I took him, and started the season on the DL. Now he's healthy.

I can't drag him to the active roster because he's not on the 40-Man Roster. I can't put him in the 40-man roster because it says he "must remain on the active roster or DL all season!"

What can I do here?

Didn't he have to be on the 40 man and active roster when he went on the DL?

Yeah, but I think placing a player on the 60-day DL automatically removes him from the 40-man. At least it did this the only time I've used the DL.

there was a time gap...i had a full 40 man roster when i drafted him, and i had a player clearing waivers to get off of the 40 man...it didn't make me put him on the 40 man since i put him directly on the DL before the start of the season, i guess.

regardless, this seems to be a relatively serious error...is there some workaround that could be done with the editor? something i could tell my online league commish to do?

He may probably need to disable 40-man, get him out of the DL and enable it again.

I get the same thing sometimes(about the DL and 40 man), where when I place a player on the DL, he comes off the 40 man. Is that a bug, or what?

If you place a man on the 60-day DL, he automatically comes off the 40-man (that's actually the point of the 60-day DL -- to allow you to replace an injured player without having to run him through waivers).
