A "Canseco" HR

I'm currently using OOTP5, as I haven't yet gotten around to purchasing the new release. My team is the White Sox and I play every game, rather than just simming it. I'm currently on August 10, 2005 after starting at the beginning of the 2003 season. Anyways, I was playing a game against the Mariners and Jose Valentin hit a shot to deep right field. As Ichiro was going back towards the wall, the play by play read that the ball hit his head and bounced over the wall for a HR. It called it a "Canseco-play". I thought it was rather amusing and pretty cool. I've never gotten a stranger play to happen in my hundreds of games played so far in OOTP. Just thought I'd share!

Would have been better if it the league was set in the early 1900's.

It's funnier that it happened to Ichiro.

Put Ray King in the outfield. That's funnier.

What happens if your running a 1970s historic league? Is then Canseco named after the play, rather than the play after the player? Same with Ed Delehanty making plays Willie Mays-style?

The mind boggles!

This was actually just brought up not long ago on another post. It's actually a paradox, yet, Canseco is such a timeless player that, it doesn't matter. You're playing a video game that takes place in the 1900s, yet Canseco still .. never mind I just wanted to say something.
