Really bad in-game lag

I'll keep it short as I'm sure this has been covered before. My game is lagging pretty badly when in game mode...any ideas on how to limit the lag? I already have the scoreboard turned off.

Maybe someone in the know can help. I have never even heard of this problem.

Yeah hopefully...for the record OOTP5 ran flawlessly on the same machine (although I had to turn off the scoreboard in OOTP5 or else my CPU would occasionally crash).

It just L-A-G-S in everything you do during a game including looking at player cards etc...argggggggg.

I seem to remember something about turning off simulating minor league games if the game was running slow...

but as you can tell from my number of posts, I don't actually know anything.

I know that in version 5, the game would lag a ton when sound was activated, so if sound isnt a big issue for you, I'd suggest turning that off and sseing if it helps.

You probably already know this: Disable your anti-virus software...and don't have anything else but the game running.
