Catobase stat error?
I got catobase to run with the newest update.
however, i noticed one of my pitchers is showing a record of 21-8 for the season. he really went 18-7, and then 3-1 in the playoffs. Catobase has apparently added his playoff W-L record to his regular season record and is displaying that as his regular season record. it doesn't look like any of his other stats are changed, just the W-L record. and it doesn't look like it happened to other pitchers/players on my team. (i haven't checked them all that carefully, and i haven't checked other teams at all.) anyone ever seen this? how does this happen? can i fix it? |

Well, it's certainly not suppose to do that. Was this player involved in a transaction during the season? These players' stats are determined by adding up their individual games, up to the end of the season. CatoBase may have got the end of the season date wrong and included the post season in his regular season. This wouldn't affect all the players on your team, only the ones involved in a transaction.
Can you send me the data files for this season, so I can see exactly what happened? Thanks |

Yes he was involved in a transaction, I traded for him a few days into the season.
In some of the breakdowns it shows correctly...e.g., 9 wins at home, and 9 wins away. The totals are screwy however. I checked the guy he was traded for, and that guy's stats appear to be OK. Anyway, yes, I can try sending you the file. [Insert usual caveat about my ignorance of computers.] Which file do I send? The "Data" folder that was created when I ran Catobase? Can I send that as an email attachment? |

The files needed would be in the Data Directory or the specific year folder under that. There should be 23 files, 21 CSV files and 2 text files. I would prefer you enter a support ticket at my website, zip the above files, and attach the zip file to the ticket. It's just easier for me to keep up with that way.

I think I figured it out.
I can't tell if my support ticket went through or not...is it supposed to say something on the site, or email confirmation or something? |

No, I don't see a ticket. I see your user name, so you created an account. Your ticket would be listed under open tickets, after you submit one. When you click on Submit, it will take a few minutes to upload the file, then the page will refresh and you should see a disk icon next to the 'Posted By: Client' area on the right hand side.
