Multi-colored madness?!?

Dell Dimension 2350
Windows XP operating system
1.27 GB virtual memory available
384 MB phyiscal memory
Radeon 9200 Graphic Card

In the middle of adjusting my team's lineup the screen turns into a mess of multi-colored squiggles! The cursor turns into a block, and not even control-alt-delete gets me out. I have to hard reboot. My guess is some kind of conflict with the graphic card but I cant imagine how. I play in an online league, where i am not the commisioner and I download the zip file. I did not have a problem until a week ago. We use OOTP 5. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks!

To the best of my knowledge none. Maybe an anti-spyware program?

Ok-

-Does this happen every time at the same spot?
-Does it happen with other programs?
-If you open the game off of a fresh reboot does it happen?

As much detail as you can give me will help.

It seems to happen at lineups and transactions for certain. Definatly happens after a fresh reboot. And this does not happen with any other program. Let me add that it does not happen right away every time. Sometimes it goes right away (for example the first time I went to adjust my lineup against RHP, it got fuzzy) and other times it took ten minutes.

Have you tried updating your video card drivers? What screen resolution are you running at?

Screen Resolution 1074 at 768.

Video card drivers were updated about a month ago. I run Everquest on this comp, so I have to keep it updated.

So this is something that just started? Have you tried defragging, etc? Maybe uninstalling and reinstalling the game.

After playing with it some more it ALWAYS seems to happen when I spend any time in the minor leagues and particulary when I hit auto-generate lineup in minors.

I can defrag. And no I have not tried uninstalling yet.

Defragging now. If this persists, I will unistall game and reinstall.

And yeah this JUST started. Out of the blue. Whats odd is I have two computers, and ootp on both comps and the other one is fine. Same league, same everything. Different operating system and hardware... but since the problem just now started after months of being ok... Im at a loss.

Ok defragged.. still had the issue when I went into the minor leagues. I unistalled and was going to reinstall but the download option appears to be 'down' on the oopt web page?

edit- Nevermind. Downloading demo. Then inserting my purchase info.

Duh.

I will let you know if this works.

Ok re-installed. Same issue. But this time I saw an error message. Something about ATI not being able to do something, and Softaware rendering?!?

I'm guessing this is now a video card driver???
