Possible Arbitration Players

I know what happens when a player is headed for arbitration but what about players that are "possible arbitration". Does that mean he will either be an automatic re-sign or get arbitration or if he plays enough in the MLB, he will become a free agent. I could be totally off but if anyone knows please let me know. Thanks.

I believe it means that the player is currently an auto-resign, but may become arbitration eligible if he spends enough days during the current season in the majors.
