XP crash looked at for upcoming patch?

Has the XP crash been reproduced so it can be addressed in the upcoming patch?

There has to be more to the issue than that, as I can open html's all day long w/o an issue and I'm using XP. If you could give us more details or a link to where this is described more in-depth.

My game crashes on occasion when using XP, when i go to a player html report. It happens inside of a game, on the trade screen, on the transaction screen, just about anytime you go to the html report. It happens about once a month inside of the game itself. Henry did a poll over in the OOTP 6 forum and about 10-15% of XP users were experiencin crashes. Henry set up a way for me to upload my league for recreation of the crash, and that's when the site went down last week. I couldn't figure out how to upload the file on the ftp server. I can reload the patch, and the crashes disappear for a bit, then they resume after about a month of simming or so. I have the latest Explorer, am running XP, and have all windows updates through the auto download w/XP.

Is that just the showhtml.exe part crashing or does all of OOTP6 crash?

OK, just wondering. I've only seen the showhtml.exe crash on my XP installations and I'm trying to figure out what makes my system different than other peoples' installations who crash a lot. So far, no luck.

Have you tried the fix of "Repairing" your Internet Explorer files and updating all service patches, etc.? This has fixed crashes for some people.

yep, all are updated. I uninstalled the game, and reinstalled the latest version (6.02) and am having better luck. Maybe upgrading patch by patch made it different?

I have not had that crash, but I have another. I am in a custom league, if I stop to play a game manually then go back to the sim options, I crash when the game is finishing the day out. Anybody else?

I'm having better luck now with 6.03, I tried something a little different. I am running in compatibility mode with windows 2000 from the rt. click options on the game on my desktop and no crashes yet. I'll keep my fingers crossed, but i've looked at player ratings from trade screen, transactions screen, within a game, and just in general (where i was having problems before), and no crashes yet.

Marcus can't fix what he can't recreate. If he, or no one else on the beta team, can reproduce the crash, it's very unlikely it will ever be addressed.

I'm running XP and have never crashed. Not once.

When Henry did the poll around 10-15% were experiencing crashes, I guess you are one of the 85-90%, I'm just trying to help those that are, but thanks for the news flash.
