Halofan roster set

For those of you that are interested, i have just put up an updated version of my roster set

This is the 4th version of Halofan's roster set for OOTP 6. Ratings are unlocked now!! I have added rookies, added drafted players that have signed, all transactions up to June 22nd have been added, tinkered with some players ratings to TRY and add more realism. Next update is to be determined, but it looks like i will update it after the trade deadline.

Those are just some of the major things i can think of

You will need to register for the site ( www.simleaguecentral.com ) and then you can get the downloads. Email if you have any questions or any info you think i should add to these sets at duckfart76@comcast.net or you can get me on AOL in the evenings most of the time at halofan26

Halo, I know you stated that you put all the players that have signed so far on the teams that drafted them but are you going to create a file so that we can put all the players just drafted in one of our drafts? Thanks!

That is being worked on, but im trying to figure out how to add the players into the draft class so that a team can draft any player (i.e. Jared Weaver). I dont have any updates on this because im still stumped tho lol

Halo, I know you stated that you only put in the players that had been drafted and signed. Any idea on when the next update to this file is because the Rangers just signed their top pick Thomas Diamond? As you probably know the Rangers and us Ranger fans need all the pitching prospects we can get.

unless there is a large increase in draft picks signing, i probably will wait until after the trade deadline, but then on the other hand and update after the 1st week of July isnt far off with me either damn it, i need some sort of surprise element in the release of my roster lol

Halofan,

Thanks for the work you've done in putting together these rosters. I've downloaded each version, but have waited to start playing until the waiver issue was resolved, which was done in the latest patch.

I have a question for you. I noticed that you are using a factor of 12% in your player creations & aging modifiers. Is there any reasoning behind that? Has it been indicated somewhere that that's a good figure to use, or are you using it based on personal experience.

Thanks again.

Thanks for the kid words, that is what keeps me making them

well +12 is a number that i have found that makes the rookies a very SMALL amount better in the draft and they develop a tad closer to the "star ratings" like for instance, if you draft a 5 star guy and let him develop, with that rating they may go from 5 blue stars to 23 gold stars at a better(faster?) pace then they did in OOTP 5 (HUGE kudos to Markus once i completely figure it out) now that is just my own preference in my online leagues. now if you wanted it to produce MUCH better players, try it at +100 or +200.....then it gets REAL fun lol.....like i said, this is from what i have seen

Thanks for the quick response HF. From the accounts that I've read, patch 6.03 seems to have altered the development curve somewhat, making it so that there are more players making it in the big leagues earlier in their careers, which appears to be what is accomplished by using the creation and aging modifiers. Have you done any testing to see if your numbers hold up with the latest patch, or if it is now giving young guys too much of a boost?

I like your approach and would use the same numbers if I know that I won't be double-dipping with the latest patch development al-gore-rhythms.

Thanks again.

so far the 12% is the results i gave you and that is with the current patch....i would have to say it would be "double-dipping" with the last patch so the new patch has done wonders for my roster sets lol and i have noticed that it is working out well in the three leagues i run that ARE in version 6.....i have 5 other leagues that are in version 5 and the historical leagues are most likely going to stay that way cause im not sure just yet how the transfer of the historical leagues are going to look in OOTP 6 from 5
