OOTP6 Endurance ratings
The distinction between starter and reliever endurance ratings is gone in OOTP6. How much impact is endurance now playing in the new version for starters? Will a pitcher with a 3 endurance rating and otherwise good stuff, control and movement ratings perform well? What about a pitcher with a 2 for endurance?
Trying to get a feel for the differences in versions before my league's free agency period. Thanks! Mark |

It depends what your settings are. If you're using the 1-100 scale then a 3 isn't going to be very good for durability. In any scale a 3 will most likely be a reliever.

Ok, so what can I expect......a good performance through the early innings and then a breakdown as fatigue sets in (generally speaking)?

You can pretty much expect the guy to last 4....5...maybe 6 innings IF he keeps the walks down. There will be a bit of a breakdown, but its not hard to avoid really (just try and keep his pitch count to about 50 or so).
Its normally not worth having them as a starter, just not enough IP (too many 3.2 inning outings for me). |

Thanks for the feedback. You folks who've experienced the nuances of OOTP6 are a gold mine to those of us just beginning to experiment.
Thanks again! Mark |

I ran the computer manager on my team to start the season, and it converted an Endurance 3 reliever to a starter. I decided to stick with it, to see how it plays out.
So far, he's pitched more complete games (1980s+ era) than any pitcher I've had before. In 7 starts, he has 3 complete games. He gets tired around 80-90 pitches. But, my Endurance 4 starters tire out around 105-115. Of those 3 complete games, 2 were played out, 1 was simmed.
