Event.csv file testing
I am in the process of working on a event.csv file for use with Pierre's random event generator.
Currently working on a pre-1900 generator that I hope to modify for the modern era by changing some of the injuries and adding spring training injuries. Ran a 20 test sample to determine how much the injuries occur. 228 players in the league. The only number that seems low is alcohol treatment; would of liked to see that event come up a little more often for the era. I accidentally put 30-120 in the wrong place in the chart. It only applies to alcohol treatment. The chart of the test can be found here: Random Events Chart A little about the chart: '21 - 50 days' and '50-150 days' have the same probability of happening The probabilities of '151 - 255 days', Season/Career ending, Career ending. and Extraordinary events get lower as you change from one category to the next. The probabilities for 'Boating Accidents' through 'Robbery' are all the same. Having twice as many fights as there are boating accidents is purely random chance. I wasn't really worried about this area, however, as my main concern was the severity of the injuries. I would greatly appreciate any opinions on how this looks so far. Thanks, Mark |

Looks good, though I would add the following at incidents.
Marital problems Suicide (attempted and successful) Drug rehab Kidnapped seems a little far fetched. I'd personally change it to just "missing". I notice a lot of accidents, but no car accidents?! I would also change leukemia to just cancer. Looking at the stats, 13 hunting accidents seems a little extreme ![]() Just a few suggestions It's looking good. I'll for sure use it if you release it.
