"Spoilers" in PBP

"....
a difficult play for Tony Womack
maybe a double-play
he dives
hey, he got a glove on it!
He gets up
easy throw to second...."

The problem here is that the PBP says how's it's a difficult play, so you should be thinking to yourself "Is he gonna get it?". Then it goes on to say maybe a double-play and then it talks about the dive and getting a handle on the ball.

The correct way would be to switch the order around so it says:
1. difficult play
2 he dives
3. He got it
4. maybe a double play and continue with PBP

I've been noticing this more and more lately. It's not something horrible and I almost didn't post here, but it's happened a lot lately and I figured I'd post in case Markus sees this to possibly tweak the messages.

There are many, many things like this in pbp that never seem to be tweaked.

It is low priority apparently along with many, many missing plays...like dropped throws, dropped infield flies, no dropped foul flies, no infield throwing errors except at first base...just to name a few.

The game is apparently designed for simmers who don't care about pbp results...the 40% who fully or partially play games out
just have to live with it and hope we get our tweaks someday soon.

No, I'm not bashing the game...just getting in another plug for pbp variety and improvements.

It is a great game.

I had been thinking much the same thing lately. I play each game and, even though it gets repetitive, the PBP still has a reasonable flow to it. As soon as you read the "maybe a double-play" comment, the tension in the PBP is immediately broken since you know that the fielder is coming up with the ball.

I'd have to agree with you on this matter. I primarily sim, myself, but I think I'd enjoy pbp a bit more if it had that variety we're all looking for. Unfortunately yet understandably, this is seemingly lower on the priority list than many aspects which are in need of service. I remember a thread where Markus mentioned that fixing dialogue logic was actually rather difficult (although I also seem to recall he was talking about the News section). Ah, well - here's hoping it will be adjusted sooner than later.
