Minor Request re: Rule V draft

...for those of us who use no ratings/no talent, it becomes almost impossible. PLEASE allow viewing of minor league stats in the window, as clicking on every player to check out what they've done is fairly unreasonable.

Personal request (not just you, Laura Prepon lover):

Rule 5. FIVE. Not V. F-I-V-E.

Well I have the same request for all people who say Rule 5, so... it appears we're at an impasse.

The Rule 5 draft

First off, note that it's not the "Rule V Draft," but the Rule 5 draft. It's called the Rule 5 draft because the section of the Official Rules that covers the draft just happens to be Rule 5 in the book.
http://espn.go.com/mlb/s/transanctionsprimer.html

You can go find all the official documents, and you'd find it Major League Rule 5 Draft, while the amateur draft ( First-Year Player Draft) is called Major League Rule 4 Draft.

V = 5, does it not? It's just how it's written. I believe that's what ESPN is addressing, the stupid people who actually SAY Rule "v"

...regardless, although this bumps up my point, it's really irrelevant to it.

V for victory!

And I don't think 5 = V in this case. It's possible to have two different rules labeled as V and 5 in the same document if one choosed to.

OT:

Not sure if anyone noticed or not, but Steve Finley, Vinny Castilla and Jeromy Burnitz are tied for the ML lead in homers with XIV.

I was just about to comment that some people have entirely too much time on their hands when it occurred to me that the comment would lose its scathing indictment considering that I had taken the time to comment on people who had entirely too much time. 'nuff said

Agreed. This is needed.

I, also, agree with crackpott...

Let me add my agreement and also throw out the idea that perhaps all screens should default to a player's statistics for which they have the most playing time. I'm specifically thinking about the trade screen, the player tracker, and the waiver wire.

Cummon guys! Crackpot made a simple request about displaying stats and you're having a major debate over "5" vs "V"!!!

I agree, minor leage stats in a more visable format would be great.

I also have to agree with crackpott on this.

Rule V is almost as bad as when people call it Mac OS X and actually pronounce it X. It drives me up the wall since I have to deal with it just about every day.

Along those lines, visible high school/college stats via HTML output would be fantastic when you are looking at a draft pool for a no ratings/no talent league.

Saying the X never bothered me much, because it is a Unix base...and felt that saying it as "X" rather than "Ten" was acknowledging the Unix part.
