The "Lords" want you ! ...Seeking quality GM's
Were an historical league (1990) close to starting our inaugral season. We have past greats George Brett, Robin Yount, Cal Ripken Jr, Don Mattingly and other past greats.
Just starting there great careers will be Frank Thomas, Sammy Sosa, Gary Sheffield, Albert Belle, Ken Griffey Jr, Curt Schilling and many many more. We are a "Talent Only" league. If you have never been in a league such as this, Let me tell you it's much more of a challenge than a full ratings league. A GM must evaluate a player by what his scout says and the players performance, Instead of the "Ratings On" where all a GM has to do is look at a players talent ratings to find out how he should perform. No, this is much more realistic and makes a GM think twice before trading a player, since it really does cast a doubt in your mind what your giving up and what your getting in return. If your a "Trader" to where the only satisfaction you get from the game is that. Then this league is not for you. GM's in "talent Only" historical games tend to be much more conservative in there trading, Thereby trading is on a much more realistic pace, rather than some GM's making 3-4 trades a day, Wont happen here. Some of the features we will have........... Finances.......... National Broadcasting revenue will be split evenly among all teams. We will have a 40M cash maximum. No Caps. Money should not be a major issue if run financially responsible. Coaches and Scouts will be turned off. There will be 3 divisions in each league. There are 26 teams with no future plans of expansion. The DH rule has been eliminated to go back to how baseball was suppose to be played. Draft Pick Compensation ....We have a system put into place to where if one of your players signs with a team, Then you will be compensated for losing that player. (Read rules in Commissioner Office.) Supplemental Lottery Pick.....Every year, 1 player will be entered into a equally weighted lottery, And 1 lucky team will win the rights to that Pick. Arizona Instructional League.....A team may send 1 player per year at a cost of 2M in cash to Arizona to regain his lost form (Talent hits)........The player will take a leave of absence for 3 months. CEI Surgery.......If a player suffers a CEI a team may opt for surgery to be performed on player. You may only do this 1 time per season. But it will be costly....The player will be out of baseball for 1 year, retroactive to his injury date. And the cost of the procedure will be 4M in cash. Oh yes......He will also take 1 talent hit per category. After the surgery and rehab....You can send him to the Arizona Instructional league to regain his form prior to the injury....And oh yes.....That will cost you another 2M......So he better be a great player to spend that kind of cash. We will draft real players each year. (All will be hand edited for accuracy) I'm sure I'm missing something here, But that is the major meat of the league. In closing......I created this league file myself.....I cross referenced every stat for every player in the league. All players will perform like they did in real life. I spared no time......I edited passed balls by a catcher, I even edited "Hit by Pitdhes" all the way to "Wild Pitches"......All fielding percentages are correct and the most important..The player stats. You will not be disappointed......All the players will be of some service to a team (I did my cross referencing for the player stats at Baseball-Reference.com) Thats it.....My league is at 15 GMs with 11 more to sign up. And there is some very good teams left. My site is the "Lords of Baseball" Give us a look and please fill out an application, Found in the Commissioners Office. Hope to hear from you. Thanks.
