Young Pitchers

I for one am glad to see the incredible surge of young pitchers coming into the league as of late. I have always been more privy to watching good pitching than to watching good hitting so guys like Oswalt, Miller, Prior, Wood, Beckett, Willis, Williams, Webb, Gobble, and Wainwright have got me super excited for the next several years.

My question is, of those guys I listed before, pick the four(because we all know four is the best number of guys in a rotation) who you think would make the BEST rotation for the next several years.

Write-in votes encouraged!

Well, overall - Prior, Beckett, Zack Grienke, and Johan Santana (a little biased). Of the choices given, the top 4.

I'd have to put Johan Santana up there, but I chose the top 4.

Prior, Beckett, Webb, and Oswalt. Willis I dont think will stay in the rotation because from what i remember reading the fish were concerned with his endurance and also figure his stuff would be more effective if the opposition cant prepare for him

Well, I went ahead and guessed, but projecting young pitchers is like betting at the dog track. It's a total crap shoot.

Well, if you had to get rid of one... dump Willis. He is not going to make a career as a starter. I personally would take Webb over Willis anyways, and the only reason "D-Train" got ROY was because idiots like Jayson Stark are allowed to vote.

Are we assuming Prior/Wood still have their right arms attached in the future?

Yeah, I went Oswalt and Miller because they're getting past the danger point. Webb because he's ace, and Jerome Williams because he's in a pitcher's park which should cut down the number of BF dramatically. I couldn't pick anyone under Dusty's tutelage. It just seemed silly.
