Constant crashing!

I've written to tech support as well.

OOTP 6 on the initial install was running fine. But now, for some reason, everytime I start a game, as soon as I get to the first function (e.g. "Swing Away"), the game crashes.

I am using a Custom League. I have installed 6.01. I am using Windows XP and have DirectX 9.0b.

I tried setting up a new league. Same problem.

I uninstalled OOTP 6 and eliminated the folder and then redownloaded and installed the game from the website clean. I started a new Custom League. Same problem.

Completely perplexed...

Is "in game sound" enabled?

Yes and no.

Because "in game sound" is an option which is defaulted to "OFF", sometimes I forget to turn it on. As such, sometimes it was disabled, and other times it was enabled.

I would think that by completely uninstalling the game and every trace of it, and then reinstalling it, I should have no problems. If all else fails and I wish to try this again, what more, beyond "Add or Remove Programs" should I do?

Having same problem. After 3 seasons i can't play a game becouse the first swing crashes the game. I have sound disabled. Also have crashes when truing to tade players. I look at a players info screne in the team roster part and it crashes. I run windows 98SE 1.9 ghz 512ram gforce MX card.
