run computer manager

Hi im quite a newbie towards this game and i havent understood one option available in the game: what really change for a team when you set the command "run the computer manager" on that team. The games help says that the computer make rosters adjustment, subs, etc, but i thought it was doing the same just when that team was normally controlled by cpu, so what actuallu change between the two status?

run computer manager is mainly for human controlled teams....if you have a human controlled team, but you want the cpu to do all the lineups, depth, etc...just click on run computer manager...

if the teams are cpu controlled ...it will automatic use run computer manager....run computer manager by clicking on it wont have no affect on cpu controlled teams....

It is a binary value (yes/No). For example, if I hit it once to turn it on, does it turn off if I hit it again? And, how can I tell if it is on or off?

thanks,

Walt

it just a one time thing...if u click on run computer manager it will make the changes...if you click it again nothing will happen....

rememeber if its a human controlled team, u just have to click on run cpu manager one time , the cpu will makes the changes for your team thru out the season...only time it stops is if you made a change manually yourself, then you will have to run cpu manager again , when u ready for it to take over that part again....

When you run computer manager on a human controlled team, does the computer manager release or sign any players without conferring with the human owner? It seems that I remember that happening to me in prior version but I may be wrong.

It's always possible that I had somehow mistakenly had changed team control to the CPU at that time which may have led to the above situation..

I like running the computer manager to establish a "depth chart" from the informtion gathered by my scouts....

strange i thought was the exact contrary, since the option found on the league setup screen states "run computer manager on all computer controlled teams" i thought it influenced computer teams.

So, does the computer manager (run on human controlled team only) make personnel decisions such as releases and trades? Another possible ill-effect would be in moving players to the 40 man roster and starting the arbitration count down.

I'm thinking the above items are not right...but, I've been hesitant to try....it would be grand to have a scout suggested "depth" chart that wouldn't be automatically saved and only viewed....

i havent yet understood what really change for a computer team being on normal "cpu control option" or being run by the computer manager.
