Brilliant HR talent drop at age 32

I realize that this is an old issue, and probably not one that people enjoy revisiting. And admittedly, I've started this thread out of frustration.

But does a brilliant-HR-hitting player's HR talent ever not systematically drop at the age of 32? I think I've seen this occur at early 33 once or twice, but other than that, it's always 32 (outside of random drops). And I know that it probably averages out, most real-world players seeing a decline in power around the age of 32. But, when you translate OOTP5's talent system into statistics, surely not every single player sees this kind of systematic decline during their 32nd year. And it just frustrates me, because you can always anticipate this happening. Sure, some players might be boosted back or up to brilliant later in their careers. But I've never seen a player who survives this period with a brilliant talent. And yes, it should probably be extremely rare. But there are sluggers who have immense potential through and beyond the age of 32!

I really hate how this affects my play in online leagues. I can plan for the declines, and it happens like clockwork. There's almost no reason not to try to shop a slugger around precisely before his 32nd year, just to try to squeeze the extra trade value out of him. And if not that, I try to plan to have contracts expire so that I'm not paying for a HR talent that isn't there. It becomes a strategy.

Can anyone comment on whether or not this still happens under OOTP6? I believe some or all of the development algorithms were changed, but I haven't yet played a full season solo or online.

Thanks!

I apologize for whining, but this has always really bothered me.

Does this change depending on whether you are using an imported roster set? I have two 32 year-olds and a 33 year-old, all with Brilliants in HR's. I'm in the third season of an imported roster set.

I've not seen this problem, does it really exist?
