Look here for schedules to import into OOTP6
These files are NOT compatible with OOTP2006 because the file format for schedules has been changed with the new version. Keep an eye out the schedules section of the OOTP2006 Mods forum for schedules in the new format.
NOTE: See the bottom of this post and the following post for a linked list of the schedules in this thread. Here is a collection of CSV file schedules that may be used with OOTP6 leagues. Stickware is excellent, but not always good enough for everyone every time. And the real MLB schedules now up at Retrosheet at this point in time must be reformatted in order to be imported into OOTP. NOTE: See this thread for historical MLB schedules: http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...ad.php?t=85752 The idea is to attach here in this thread schedule files that can be imported into OOTP6 using that new feature. Also if someone asks somewhere in another thread for a schedule and someone provides it, a link to the post of that schedule in that other thread could be posted here. Hopefully people who put a lot of effort into manually making a schedule will put it up here (along with a description) to show off their work, and people looking for a particular type of schedule can check here and possibly find what they want. Knowing these details aren't key for just importing a schedule, but if you are not familiar with the CSV file format the OOTP can now import/export, here's a brief description. CSV involves just text, but items are separated by commas so that if opened in a spreadsheet the items get their own cells. Each line in the file has four numbers - (1) the day number, counting from January 1st & always neglecting any Feb 29; thus Jan 1 = 1, Dec 31 = 365, Apr 1 = 91, etc., (2) the away team number, (3) the home team number, (4) the game time, which I believe is always PM and Eastern time. The team numbers work like they do for the logo files. For the standard MLB-type league, the AL team numbers are 1-14, and the NL team numbers are 15-30. Lines that begin with a number sign (#) are just comments and are there for human eyes and not processed. To use a csv format schedule, just download the file somewhere onto your computer, then at the Edit Schedule screen under League Setup choose the Import Schedule option and find & select the downloaded schedule file. The file extension in the name need not even be ".csv", as ".txt" (or perhaps anything) will work just fine as long as the data within the file are formatted properly. 12 team, 162 game schedules
2 leagues, 1 division in each, 6 teams per division 126 games with league (25-26 per opponent) 36 interleague games (6 per opponent) See the top of the files for more details. EDIT 2005/02/28 - This post has been moved from its original slot and a second version ("d") added. The original file was posted on 2004/05/07 and editted 2004/05/31 to move a second game between a pair of teams from Day 125 to an open date for both Day 221. That originally posted file version from before that edit should still work fine (I played a full season without noticing it), just having that one doubleheader and the possible problems that might bring. Attached here is the 1973 MLB schedule, also as a .txt file.
Two 12 team leagues, no interleague play Game times are 1pm local for day games (and the 1st of doubleheaders) and 7pm local for night games (and the 2nd of doubleheaders). Last edited by gmo; 05-08-2004 at 12:22 AM. |

First one posted suits my new league I've done one season, but I figure one season with a regular schedule is fine.
Will give this new schedule a try. Since I've NEVER used a created schedule before, do I just import it into the game after the draft and all that, but before the season starts? And in case it's not immediately obvious in game (this is all new to me) how the hell do I add an all star game? Sorry to ask dumb questions Thanks for your work! For the All Star Game, on the edit schedule screen there is a button "Allstar Date" that you press and can then set the date for that game. |

The first schedule should work nicely with my solo league. It has 12 teams (6 per league), but has a shorter schedule right now without interleague play. I wanted to try out interleague play but couldn't get it to work out how I wanted using Stickware (probably not very likely), so I ended up just having the leagues stay within themselves. After a few seasons I'll expand the schedule and add interleague play by using this. Thanks a lot!

Just done it myself
Go to the league setup screen. On the right you'll see "Edit Schedule", click it. Import the CSV file. Change the all-star date. Boom, you're done. Just ran my season and it worked just fine. |

Here is a 20 team schedule that is loosely based on the 1965 season. It is set up for 2 10 team leagues in one division but will work fine if you have 2 5-team divisions in each of your leagues.
It is a balanced schedule which has no interleague play - each club plays the other 9 teams in its league 18 teams. Doubleheaders are removed so this schedule is nowhere perfect. April is a terrible month as soon teams have 3 and 4 off days while others play every day. However, I made every effort to ensure a decent schedule to close the season so you dont get those 1 game series at the end. I just attribute all the April problems to bad weather- as if the games were all rained out. Feel free to improve on it if you can. Also, it will work for any year you want to start but for the first season the year may display wrong on your schedule pages. It will correct itself in year 2 of your league. I have some better schedules which I will upload soon.

Here is the classic 16 team 154 game format used by MLB from 1904 to 1960.

Here is a 26 team schedule suitable for league allignments like MLB had from 1977-91. League 1 is 2 7-team divisions and league 2 is 2-6 team divisions.
Doubleheaders have been removed so occassionally you will get a 1 game series or a weird week of games but for the most part it looks pretty realistic. Remember to manually add the allstar game on the proper date (Jul 17 in this case I believe).

Next up is the 24 team schedule suitable for historical use between 1969-76 or fictional leagues using a 2 leagues of 12 teams each format.
Schedule is unbalanced so each club plays divisional opponents 18 times each and out of division opponents 12 times each. Total of 162 games and again doubleheaders have been removed so it means the occassional 1 game series. All star date is Jul 24 so remember to add it in after clicking on import schedule. Enjoy. I believe I have a couple more that I will try and dig up for posting.

Next one is a little more unique. It is a 32 team schedule designed for a 4 league setup. There are only two leagues allowed in the game so I set it up as 2 leagues with 2 divisions of 8 teams each.
There are no inter-divisional games so it works like 4 seperate leagues. Each team plays it seven divsional opponents 22 times for 154 games total. I created this for when I incorportated my fictional Western Alliance with the real major leagues in one of my career replays. Again all doubleheaders are removed and you must add the allstar game after importing the schedule. It will work with either a 2 league 2divisions of 8 teams each or a 2 league 4 divisions of 4 teams each but remember each section will act like it's own 8 team league. Enjoy

Finally from me is one similiar to 1993. It is set up for 2 leagues with 2 divisions of 7 teams in each of them just as it was in mlb in 1993.
Each team plays 13 games within division and 12 vs the clubs in the other division. No interleague play. 162 games total and no doubleheaders. Would also work with a 3 division format in each league if you prefer...just make sure you have 14 teams in each league. Again remember to add in the allstar game after doing the csv import. That pretty much is all I can contribute.
