My Windows 2000 install is fixed!

Okay...

I will admit that I screwed up. I have been struggling for weeks to figure out why my installation on my Win 2K laptop was not working. I THOUGHT that I had downloaded all of the latest updates to Win 2K...but apparently I had only downloaded the "critical" updates rather than the reccomended updates.

Today, I downloaded the reccomended updates and boom...OOTP6 works.

If you are still having trouble...try downloading the updates that are in the reccomended slot...they may help.

Run "windows update" and d/l and install the recommended updates.

In other words, when you hit the start button on your comp there should be a link that says Windows update. Click that and you are good to go.

Some people don’t have this ‘Windows update’ button on their Start menu. If you don’t, go to the Microsoft or Windows.com site, go to ‘downloads,’ then choose ‘Windows update.’
