Pedro says no to Sox

So the question for all you Red Sox Nationals is whether you think this is a good thing or a bad thing. Would Pedro actually be worth signing next season for the amount of money he's going to want? And how crazy will all of you be if he's in pinstripes next season?

I already pictured his coming back to Fenway for the 1st time as a Yankee and the Fenway Faithful booing the heck out of him.

Considering the amount of money he is asking for, his age, and his history of injury, I'm not sure it is a smart baseball move to re-sign him. From a political standpoint, they almost have to re-sign him or draw the furious ire of Red Sox nation.

I think you got it all wrong mlyons. The Sox said no to Pedro. Pedro did not say no to the Sox.

I can't say it any better than that so I won't even make an attempt.

Actually, someone asked if it was a joke when you said that Pedro had never won a big game.

Pedro telling the Sox to feck off the same week the Marlins complete financing for a new stadium.

Coincidence?
I think not.

Looks like Rangers won't persue him after knocking him around for 9 hits, 6 runs in 4 innings

Well considering who the Rangers have on their staff, Pedro's line tonight still looks good

Maybe you haven't looked at the Rangers pitching performances this season, or even tonight for that matter.

Game 1:
Drese, 6 IP, 7 H, 2 ER, 5 BB, 6 K

Game 2:
Benoit, 7 IP, 6 H, 2 ER, 1 BB, 3 K

The walks by Drese was the only bad part of the night from the 2 starters. Oh, and Rangers team ERA is at 4.13, which is good enough for 3rd in the AL

Busting out the stats now huh?? just kidding about the staff, I actually predict the Rangers to win the west within the next 3 years, with your infield being the best in the league.

Yeah, I'm still not predicting we win the West this year, but with the way our minor leagues are looking and the way our current major leagues are set up, we should be making a playoff run by 2006, perhaps pretty deeply.

I've actually been surprised by the pitching staff this season. It's nearly the same staff as last season minus John Thomson and adding Kenny Rogers. But there's a revitalized Chan Ho Park, Joaquin Benoit has matured, and Ryan Drese has his sinker working. As well, Dickey continues to give a decent start each time out. Rangers have a ton of young pitchers rising in the organization as well, they might finally field a good staff before long.
