Question on arbitration

How does arbitration work in this game? I guess when a player is autmotically scheduled for arbitration, he gets a new contract and you don't need to do anything, but how does "possible arbirtation" work?

A manual could spread light on this...

Perhaps the ootp5 manual has something

This thread seems to explain possible arbitration:

http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...le+arbitration

What I gather from it is that the player might be arbitration eligible by the end of the year depending on time spent in the majors. If they are not eligible for arbitration by the end of the year, then they will be auto-resigned for the league minimum. Not sure if this is 100% correct, but this is my assumption.

i think possible arbirtation means that the player is not yet eligable for arbirtaion (he does not yet have the 3 yrs min.) but if he continues to play he will. remember a player has to play a min. number of games to be considered 1 yr (about 170 or whatever yours is set at) thus your player probably has not spent enough days to count for his 3rd year but will if he stays on your roster. otherwise a player with more than 3 but less than 6 gets his salary decided by arbitration. to see what they might get, go to your front office screen then click on player salaries, there it will show an estimate of what they might get under arbitration.
