Virus

I know that this is not the right forum for this, but since it is one of the most read, it seems to be a good way to pass this message along:

I was notified this morning by someone whose address book I am in that she had found a virus that someone had attached to her computer. It supposedly attached to everyone in her address book and her C drive.
This morning I did find that virus on my C drive. Therefore since you are in my address book, you will probably find it in your computer too. The virus (called jdbg.exe) is not detected by Norton or McAfee Anti-virus systems. The virus sits quietly for 14 days before damaging the system. It is sent automatically by messenger and by address book, whether or not you've sent e-mail to your contacts.
Here's how to check for the virus and how to get rid of it. PLEASE DO THIS ASAP (it will only take a minute)

Go to Start, and then click your 'Find' or 'Search' option.
In the folder option, type the name jdbgm
Be sure to search your C drive and all the folders and any other drives you may have.
Click 'Find Now'
The virus has a teddy bear icon with the name jdbgmgr.exe Do not open it!!!!
Go to Edit (on the menu bar) and choose Select All to highlight the file without opening it.
Now go to File (on the menu bar) and select delete. It will then go to the recycle bin.
If you find the virus, you must contact all the people in your Address Book so that they may eradicate the virus from their own address books.
To do this open a new e-mail message
Click the icon for Address Book. Highlight every name and add to BCC
Copy this message and paste. Sorry about this, but hopefully you can take care of the problem before something happens!!

I originally got this bug from a "secure" site (notice that the conventional anti-virus programs did not detect it), and the above is a copy of the message I sent out to everyone on my address list. Hope it helps someone.

Some versions of this hoax take advantage of an actual threat, the W32.bugbear@mm worm. The Jdbgmgr.exe file mentioned in the hoax has a bear icon. The actual W32.bugbear@mm worm file is a .exe file and does not have a bear icon.
Other versions of this hoax have slightly different ways in which they refer to the Jdbgmgr.exe file, usually in the subject of the email message.

This is taken from Symantec's site. Before you post a hoax, do a little research first.

Well, I read the thread Mr. Opinion offers and I fell for it too. Sorry for the inconvenience, but it sounded like something that could be a problem.
