hmmm what to do with him? Keep him up or send him down?

I have a 21 year old SP on my team...95-98 MPH fastball, 57-49-56 ratings (stuff-control-Movement) and he has talents of 85 across the board.

He's pitched ok this year (2-0 3.5 ERA, 19K, 10 BB, 4 HR this year in 28 innings)

Im thinking of moving him down so I dont hinder his development (he's Jeremy Bonderman of Detroit, so he was up last year, but that doesn't work as well in OOTP).

When I move him to AAA it doesn't say he's ready yet, nor does it say he needs AA....so AAA may be the right level.

I dont really need him up (Im not really contending and I have a decent guy in AAA i got off the waiver wire), but Id rather keep him up AS LONG AS it wont hurt him.

Thoughts?

I'd send him down for a little extra seasoning at AAA rather than run the risk of ******ing his development. It doesn't sound like you have a pressing need for him at the big league level, so why take the chance?

Because he may develop equally and even more in the bigs, but I will most likley send him down (unless of course it doenst matter)

What's your AAA manager's rating for developing pitching? If his rating is excellent or above, then your pitcher probably would benefit from a little more development time in the minors.

I've been trying to figure this out the last few days. I have a crappy team but loaded AAA pitching prospects. They all have 3 or 4 stars, but none is standing out. Having trouble figuring out which ones to bring up.

Yea, I plan on putting him down untill September (unless it says hes ready between then and now)......

no point in risking it I suppose.....

Though my AAA team is going to be stellar (Joe Mauer-Chris Shelton (whos a stud in these rosters)-Kenny Baugh-Jeremy Bonderman- Grady Sizemore- Tagg Bozied and quite a few solid RP and SP that would be average to slightly below ML caliber)
