Teaching position bug

Was playing my solo league... I usually auto minors, the CPU AI decided to teach my LF who i had jjust drafted in the 1st round how to play CF...

Im simming through my season, get an email saying the LF has learned how to play CF and has a rating of 5 in range (out of 5)... Which suprises me because his LF defense was horrible.. I go to look, he didnt learn the position apparently (no rating for CF)... And it still says learning CF..

just got that phantom email again..

this time it said my AAA 3b learned 2b... He didnt learn it...

Funny thing is he was playing DH and wasnt being taught a new position..

dunno whats up with the emails

When I get thoses e-mails the new position rating doesn't show up until the next day.

hrmmm looks like that was happening... looked just now my CF does have a rating in CF its a 1 not a 5 like it said in the email...

Also my 3b now has range at 2b... Wierd i didnt see him being taught it...

will keep an eye on it.

I saw this "phantom position switch problem" in ootp5, too.

The issue seemed to be that the functions weren't matching the display -- i.e., when I set a minor league lineup to teach John Doe to play 2B, for some reason, Richard Roe "learned" the position, regardless of what actions I took on him.

So far in OOTP6 -- I've been playing only single seasons, in OOTp5, the problem became more prevalent as my league progressed to later seasons.

I've had players get a 255 position rating. There's something up somewhere.

Using 6.01 I had a 2B rated 19 learn the SS position with a rating of 100. This seems suspect. In 6.0 I had several poor players learn positions with starting ratings around 245-250.

I went through all the AI teams minor league linups and noted all players learning a new position who were poor at defence (less then 20 in their primary position). There were 9 such players. After about 3 weeks I went back and checked.

Player1: 33yr old rated 12 at 2B--New rating at SS-100.

Player 2: 26 yr old rated 11 at RF--New rating at LF-100.

Can this be looked at?
