Game-killing bug - 40 man roster

NEVER put ANYONE on the 60 man DL if that person is a veteran.

Why? It takes them off the 40 man roster, and you'll lose him.

WHY? Get this: THE GAME WON'T ALLOW YOU TO PUT HIM BACK IN THE MAJOR LEAGUE ROSTER?

Why? For some idiotic reason, you can't put him back on the 40 man roster from the Injured lineup, and you can't put him in the minors because he'll refuse.

So, if a veteran gets injured, and you put him on the 60 man roster, you might as well cut him from the team.

By the way, most VETERANS have rehab starts in the minors.

(Love to know how this one got by the gametesters. (rolling eyes)

It's been mentioned, a few times. Turn 40 man rosters off, make the move, and turn them back on making sure that you also turn waivers and Rule 5 draft back on. They have said it will be fixed.

I don't know, probably the same way a person can write a review about a game without playing it for more than a few minutes.

Anyway, yet this is a problem, one with 2 work arounds. First, when he's eligible to come off the DL, turn off the 40-man rue. Second, don't place him on the 60-day until the patch for it is out. This has been reported and logged.

And you wonder why nobody takes you seriously.

Yeah, it's something obscure that never happens in the game.

Let me know how it's NOT a valid criticism.

It's not a valid criticism because of the last line - as a disinterested observer here, I've noticed in your last three or four posts that it seems you're not really interested in getting answers or finding solutions. It seems to me that you're more interesting in scoring points off the developers and beta testers and the people nice enough to answer our questions.

Lose the attitude, and your criticisms will be more readily acknowledged.

Won't happen, Gordy. This guy used to post on UseNet and was taken no more seriously there than he is here, exactly because of his attitude. Well, that and some seriously flawed writing.

Let's get it straight, Jonah. Your criticisms may or may not have merit. That's not the point. You're still an ass.

Jonah will now come up with some "supposedly" witty comeback and throw some "rolleyes" smilies at me.

Folks please let's not let it get to a flame war over some blips that people have found with the game on its initial release. I wish that people would have used a search engine that the site has before they posted, so there are less quintuple posts about the same problem, but that is the right of others to post.

If you come across a problem folks, it would make it easier if you could use the search engine to see if there is already 2 or 3 threads that are similar to your problem. With all the CGI errors this weekend, it made it hard for people that want to help to get on and do so.

Please read some of the posts already in the section you are in and post there if the problem has been reported already. If it hasn't, feel free to post a new thread.

We can't address things in a timely manner if everyone just posts a new thread each time, if there are 4 or 5 of the same one already.

Have patience, we are trying to answer all these questions, and Henry, Steve, Craig, Ryan, Karen and myself and the beta testers are jumping in where they can and helping out.

Keep it on topic. If you feel the need to wage a skirmish with someone take it to off topic. It has needed a spicy conversation for days.
