Waivers/Options/40-man Issue

Should have posted this here..sorry for the double thread..

Currently if one team acquires a player on another team's 40-man roster (through trade, waivers etc.) that player is NOT added immediately to the acquiring team's 40-man roster. This causes all sorts of loopholes, players out of options are able to play in AAA, long time veterans are not on the 40-man. In MLB any player already on a 40-man roster MUST be placed immediately be placed on your 40-man once acquired. If it is already full you have to release a player to add the new guy. The same rule applies to 25-man rosters. In OOTP I shouldn't be able to trade for a player on another team's 25-man roster and out of option and all of a sudden have him in my minors. To demote this player I would have to pass him through waivers.

Can a patch catch this loophole?

There's also the waivers issue with the 40-man I brought up. I haven't heard comment from Markus/Steve, but Sporr said it was noted, so I'll trust him on it.

as it currently stands, taking a player off the 40-man roster doesn't require them to go through waivers. Which completely defeats the purpose of the 40-man roster.
