Post More info on the boxing sim...

To get a very general overview of the core engine, click here to read Chris Johnson's review of Title Fight from 2001:

<a href="http://www.sportplanet.com/features/reviews/titlefight/" target="_blank">http://www.sportplanet.com/features/reviews/titlefight/</a>

Obviously, Title Bout Championship Boxing will have many more features, notably, a career mode.

I must have run ten thousand bouts or more with Avalon Hills Title Bout and nearly fell over myself when, years later, I found APBA's Title Bout on CD Rom.

I still use both avidly and the news that a new version is in the offing is very exciting, especially because it's being done by the two that put together the originals.

Is there a more specific release date than Fall 2002?

I was in a pretty interesting FREE internet boxing league located at: <a href="http://wayneschillo.com/webl/" target="_blank">http://wayneschillo.com/webl/</a>
finally got bumped when I ran out of time to participate. The game forces managers to remain active, but it seemed pretty good. It's been at least a year since I played it. I've looked for a good PC boxing game too, but so far no luck.

I have spent untold hours playing the old Avalon Hill game Title Bout.

Thousands of hours.

I went so far as to convert the entire game to a dice (percentile) driven game, giving identical results. Did away with the cards, totally.

If the computer port is remotely as good as the board game, then we are in for a real treat.

The current iteration of the computer game is as buggy as any game I have ever seen...the support for it is not good, and I really can't recommend it.

Having said that, the creators of the game have had nasty problems with the software engineer for the program, or so I have read.

If Marcus and the OOTP folks get involved, I can only see good results.

I am extremely excited about the prospects for this boxing game.

Count me in! I was an avid player of the board game and didn't remember about a computer version until just the other day. .400 studios is going to make me bankrupt. I would spend a 100 dollars for these games if that was necessary.
