i've mentioned in other threads how nice it would be to have all the stats that are on a players main stat page saved in the career totals, in addition to career postseason stats, fielding stats, etc. with a game like this, the more stats the better right?
the only problem is the file size. Obviously different people have different needs considering the balance between stat-depth and speed of save times/size of league files. i think it would be great to include a customizeable level of depth. For example, I may want all of the stats mentioned above recorded for just the team I am controlling. Or maybe just for teams in my division. But for the sake of file size/running speed, i might want to keep the stat-depth of other teams as it is now. I don't know much about programming, so maybe this is more of an ootp 8 or later addition. That said, i feel some of the additional stats are very important(career fielding and postseason). If they are included along with the ability to pick and choose how much data will be recorded, we can tailor the depth of stat-tracking to our tastes. |

i like the idea of more flexible stats too. i think i played a sim once that let me pick the stats i wanted to include in my hardcopies. and the order they were displayed. this was a nice feature--click on the list of available stats to create your own printable or exportable stat sheet..
