I believe Markus posted it answering a question, couldn't tell you what thread now though. He said something about it not causing trouble during testing but you want to schedule the game start times far apart, like 1:00 and then 8:00 so the games won't overlap. I don't know though if the AI handles the pitchers, with regard to fatigue, as if there were two games in one day or as if they are games on different days.

You could manually schedule DHs in v5, but you had to play or sim the games separately. That means playing the first game without the out of town scoreboard, or simming the game by pressing the 'sim' button on the schedule.

I'm not sure if the OOTP schedule generator will generate any DH's, but I suspect that not much has changed in that respect.

I think game cancelations/make-up dates would be really cool.

Have rain delays been toned down at all they were a little crazy in 5, I would usually get like one a week, and it killed my starters innings.

What's the purpose of a double-header if there are no rainouts?

Simple: prior to the early 1980's, doubleheaders were often regularly scheduled events that had nothing to do with postponements. That is, many doubleheaders were planned events right in the original schedules published before the start of major league season.

In 1980, for example, there were a total of 36 scheduled doubleheaders in the NL and 25 in the AL original schedules. In 1970, it was 48 in the NL and 53 in the AL. In 1950, it was 51 in the NL and 60 in the AL. Of course, rain outs only added even more twin bills to the teams' schedules.

The point is that scheduled doubleheaders were actually a very big part of baseball's history for quite a long time, and deserve recognition. It wasn't until the mid-1980's that they went extinct, leaving only the twin bill caused by postponements.

Just edit your stadiums so there are fewer of them.
