CONVENTION UPDATE: Friday Late Night Activity

In addition to a "meet and greet" time, you'll have the chance to win prizes big and small by playing...."THREE STRIKES."

If you're registered for the convention and you're in the meet and greet room you could win prizes...perhaps even a copy of OOTP 7.

"THREE STRIKES" will work like this:

A contestant will be the manager of a fantasy baseball team that needs nine consecutive hits to score enough runs to win the game. (Each question would be one hitter...) It's the bottom of the ninth...what can you do??????????????

The questions will all be baseball related trivia including questions about OOTP. Each correct answer is hit...get nine hits before three strikes (wrong answers) and you win!

Now...it wouldn't be fun without some twists....

Because the questions will NOT be multiple choice you might need some help. This is where the lifelines will come in...

ASK STEVE (or Markus if he's there). You can get sage advice from expert Steve Kuffrey.

PINCH HITTER. We'll toss out the question and get you a new question.

CHECK THE RULEBOOK. Ask the ump to check the rulebook and he'll give you three multiple choice answers to the question.

Each lifeline can only be used once.

There are also two stops along the way where you are guaranteed prizes...after three and six right answers. The prizes at the three question level will be really lame...(like an icecube or similar thing) so don't expect a big deal at that level.

Here's the kicker...you can choose to SWING FOR THE FENCES. If you choose to do this, you get one question. If correct, you'll automatically get taken to the next safe level or win the game. (So if you get 6 questions right...you can swing for the fences to win the big prizes.)

This question can be ANYTHING that isn't baseball related. (How are you on your quantum physics, anyway?) No lifelines can be used for the question. Get it right, you advance...get it wrong and it's three strikes automatically.

And yes...that wasn't a typo...someone could win a copy of OOTP 7 before Markus even starts to concieve version 7.

Sign up TODAY for the convention...the more people who register the better prizes we can obtain for you to win!

An update on forum topics will be coming soon so stay tuned for that.

You know, we thought about "Ask Spleen" instead of "Ask Steve" but we thought if that happened sporr wouldn't play....

Has OOTP7 been released yet?

And if not, why are you "dropping hints" about it here? Is this some kind of trick to get us to send you even more money and get nothing back? Huh?

sadangelclown was right about you guys!!

OOTP 7 will be released just as soon as it's tested and ready.

Really.

Love the ideas. Keep up the good work. Looking forward to the conference.

Lifelines.....that cracks me up....I really like the three lines. Again great idea.

If you don't like the three multiple choice answers the ump gives you can you get tossed for arguing? (just kidding)
