NGBL Orioles opening

The Next Generation Baseball League currently has the Baltimore Orioles franchise availible. This team has been pretty neglected over the league's six seasons, but features a few of the leagues better young players. 26 year old, switch hitting, Herbert Delariva is ready to emerge as the leagues top second baseman. He teams with 25 year old 1b Jose Solarzano, who shows a ton of power potential, securing the Orioles 3 and 4 slots in the batting order for years to come. The teams pitching is it's weak point, but 29 year old Joel Depalma gives the team a solid front of the rotation starter. 22 year old closer Bruno Colome is also one of the leagues most exciting young arms and appears on his way into becoming one of the top stoppers in the league. In another exciting recent development in Baltimore, Lance Brownlow has emerged as the leagues top SS prospect giving the team even more reason to look forward to bright future. The Orioles have lots of cap space and with some highly talented free agents coming availiable next season, it should be an exciting challenge getting this team turned around.

Features:
- 80 million dollar salary cap
- 32 teams (4 divisions per league, 4 teams per division)
- Equalized merchandising revenue
- Restricted Free Agency system (allows for teams to bid on the services of some of the leagues top players, rather than the 35 year old dreck most are accustomed to)
- 3 sims per week, one week per sim (Tu, Th, Sa mornings)
- The league plans to upgrade to OOTP6 following the current season (granted it's released by then )

The league is littered with numerous quality owners making it great challenge for anyone who enjoys good competition. If you are looking to take an active role in turning this franchise around, email me at clarnzz@hotmail.com, or look me up on AIM at clarnzz.

Thanks for the compliment, I wish I could take credit for it, but our Dodgers GM, and defending league champion, John Frey, took the project upon himself with the assistance of Paul Allison (Pirates) and Jeff Knecht (Rockies). The league is filled with some really great owners and has a family type atmosphere (as dysfunctional as it may be at times ) I am just happy to keep things together as it has been a fun league to be a part of.

Hopefully we can sure up this Orioles position as it truly has been one of those franchises many leagues have that just havn't been able to secure a longstanding GM.

Thanks again, there are certainly a lot of quality leagues out there for people to take part in. It can sometimes make finding a dedicated owner a tough task as most people already have their plate near full. We will keep our fingers crossed on finding the right person for the job, a new, capable and dedicated owner brightening up a franchise that has long been an afterthought is an exciting prospect for everyone in the league.

I am interested in being the O's. The only question I have is do I have to own OOTP5, because I don't and I might just plan on getting V6 in a few weeks.
