Geeking out: How do you add an avatar?

I apologize for my lameness. How does one add an avatar?

I would check out the FAQ at the top of the page. It tells you how to do everything.

It's a difficult and expensive process... better that you don't waste your time trying to get one.

If you must though, you need to find the avatar application form. It is a fillable .pdf file. You need to send 3 copies of it to the OOTPDevelopments Avatar Approval Department. Don't worry, you can submit one copy online, the other two have to be mailed to the appropriate address... it's on the form. Oh, you need to send in $50 as well. They accept paypal or you can do an online credit card payment. They also accept money orders which you can send with the applications that need to be mailed.

It took me a few hours why I couldn't get it down to the 20K or less size. It was still a .jpg and as soon as I made it a .gif, it was ok to post. Oh, and I did it on Super Thursday, so it was free.

Just go in and edit your profile. Click on edit options and near the bottom will be the avatar control. First you have to enable it and then you have to upload a picture not more than 125 pixels square.
