runtime error

i get a runtime error "microsoft visual C++ runtime error OOTP5.exe Abnormal program termination" this happens when i try to advance to the next season. any answers or is the same as the other post.

I need to know the following about your system: RAM, OS, free HD space..

Have you deleted or moved any files or transferred any from CD having to do with OOTP?

i have 128 mb ram, windows xp and 15 gb left on my hard drive. i didn't delete or move any files.

Does this happen with all leagues or just one? How large is the league? What other programs are running in the background while trying to do this?

This has never happend in a league before......AIM is the onlything running.......it is a historic league....i started in 1998 and then when i got to the end of the 2001 (of course it stoped working when i won the world series) and try to go to 2002 it happens. and never happened and other offseason in this league or any other....the file is 163 mb

Have you tried rebooting the computer and then trying?

thanks steve, restarting my comp did it. it works fine now. just curious....what do you think the problem was and why did that do it?

Could be a number of things, installing or uninstalling programs, having alot of things running for awhile, not having restarted your system in awhile....
