EDIT: This version contains an error that will affect most everyone. I've removed it and a fixed version will be available soon. Sorry for the trouble!
------ Check the list below for all the changes. Important Note For existing databases, if you used the Career Exporter to import pre-sim player seasons, they will be deleted the first time you use this version. To get them back in, simply run the Career Exporter again the next time you import a season. The pre-sim seasons will then be added back into the database. Enhancements and Fixes

I'm getting an error I'm wondering if you can help me on:
During the CREATE HTML process, towards the end during the Team Summary, Chicago (A) White Sox, 1992 - Player Salaries, I get the following error: Error 3001: Arguments are of the wrong type, are out of acceptable range, or are in conflict with one another, has occurred. Any ideas on that one?

Some one else had the same problem and it turned out to be an apostrophe in the team name. I wasn't able to find a way around it, so team names cannot have an apostrophe. If there's no apostrophe, then I would need the files to figure it out.
The best way to fix it is to change the name in OOTP5, recreate the HTML and CSV files, and start a new database. You could also edit the database if you have Access 2000 or higher. You would need to edit TeamName in the TeamInfo table and TeamFrom and TeamTo in the Trades table. |

Definitely shouldn't be an apostrophe. I'm using just the major league team names as this is a historical replay. Now, there is a parantheses because it's Chicago (A), but is there a reason it would have a problem with that name this late into the creation process? It would have hit the Chicago (A) field numerous times before this step, I would think.
And as a FYI, I went back to v5.3.1 and did not have the problem. Not sure if that means anything or not. I'll be happy to send you any files that you'll need, if you can tell me what you need. I'll be able to send them to you this evening after work. Thanks for your support, Cato.

Don't worry about sending the files, I made a mistake. After trying to solve to apostrophe problem, I didn't change 1 line back to the way it was. So, now it will crash if a team name has a space in it.
I'll have this fixed in a bit. Sorry about this! |

Thanks Jeff for all your work on this utility.
Three things I'm wondering if they'll be possible to do. #1.) I've noticed that on occaision some free agents (especially pitchers in a DH league) will not get assigned to teams, will this version correct that? (If it doesn't I'll continue to use my work around, which is to edit the .csv files to assign the teams out prior to the import) #2.) Sometimes you'll get a Free Agent who is released and then resigns with a different team. To my knowledge currently the program doesn't split his stats, they all go to the final team he played for. I've gotten around this by editing the ltrans.htm file to put in dummy trades in these cases, but would it be possible to have the program do this automatically? (Hopefully without actually ending up with this listed in the trades list) #3.) Some leagues induct Managers/Owners into the Hall of Fame, would it be possible to edit the utility to allow for this to be done and for them to show up on the Hall of Fame Page? Thanks again for all your work on the utility, it's easily my favorite OOTP add on. |

Fixed version is now available, see this post for details.
Scott, 1. The only FAs I've seen that didn't get assigned teams were ones who's last game was a playoff game. I adjusted for this by making a dialog that pops up to allow the user to assign a team to a FA when the program can't figure it out. If you have a case where this is not happening and the FA is still not being assigned, please enter a support ticket and attach the data files and I'll see what is happening. 2. Yeah, this has been mentioned before, but I forgot about it. Right now, it only splits stats for traded players, but I'll look into a way to do it for FAs, too. 3. I'll look into this, too. Thanks! |

Thanks Jeff... I'll have to go back and see if I've got one of those cases handy and still have unaltered data files.
