New/Old League Openings

Hello Gentalmen,

I here to anounce a couple openings in a league that will be starting this week....Triple Crown Baseball League

TCBL ran for several years using BBPRO with a core of owners that have played together for a very long time, few years back many of the guys went about their lives and much of the FBPRO-BBPRO community desolved, near the end of last year a few of us ran into each other on OOTP/TPF boards and the decision to bring back our favorite league was made..after a month of searching out some of the old gang we put together this OOTP5 league.

Up to this point all owners were by invite only, probibly 75% of the ownership are from the old BBPRO group sprinkled in a few new friends we found in OOTP leagues...their is a vast mix here with OOTP vets, OOTP league commishes, OOTP newbies. The league is more of a mature crowd of family guys with a couple youngsters to keep our blood flowing.

Some league info....

Using OOTP5 for first 2 seasons than will switch over to OOTP6
Using the 2003 mid season files
The league had a redraft of all players after each club protected 4 players as keepers
No coaches/scouts
Reduced ratings
No cap per say..we are using a Luxuray Tax system explained in the rules.
Sim twice a week at 15 days a sim
The site and server is mantained by the co commish on his computer and we are using PHP site and Bosi...we new at this part and will be looking to improve the site over time as we learn.
All teams were set at the same fan base and markets to start , get everyone on a even footing
Trading of picks and cash is not allowed

Here is the site link http://tcbl.game-server.cc/tcbl/html/index.php

Currently the brewers and Devilrays are open, could be a couple more as we are in the middle of a roll call for Opening day which is this Wensday ... if your intested email me at hayescraig@sbcglobal.net and I get you the login info you will need to access the rest of the cool site stuff.

When you apply please include your OOTP and/or BBPRO experiance and link to any current leagues your involved in.

thanks for your time , I can garentee you wont be disapointed

Craig

First sim done...both open teams TampaBay and Milwakee have decent roster. Also in a couple sims ( june draft ) we be having a Create a Prospect thng where you make yourself as a prospect on your club.

I like how you can create a Prospect. I wish some of my leagues would do that. Whats guidlines did you set...There must be a ratings Limit to the spec they are making correct?

BigB....yes were working that out right now. Our league had a redraft of all players and I also set it for a June draft and what I found out was when the league hits the draft the ammy pool was empty so we decided to use this time to make a prospect which btw we did in the old BBPRO version of TCBL.

This prospect will have your name ( team owners ) and will not be allowed to be traded or released, we still working out how to keep the player on the team probibly a life time arbitration thing.
YOU will remain on your club till you retire...we hope to have a decent enought range so their maybe a few life long minor leaguers and a few come ut at stars...than the rest just your every day average ball player.

Any suggestions what you all think a good range for each rating would be? We are loking at making everything average and allow the owner to cousomize the player a bit with 3 to 5 rating/talent changes...like you drop hits to fair and bump up HR to good that kind of thing.
