Longest contract in manager mode ?

Whenever I play manager mode I just get one year or sometimes if I did really well two year contracts. What was the longest contact you ever got from an owner ?

Contact with who? I have had lots of contacts in manager mode, but not sure how to answer longest.

I believe he means "contract", as in contract extensions with a club.

As for me, I have been offered a 3 year contract extension by a club, but that was after I had been a manager for around 10 years and had taken the team into the playoffs a couple of times.

nothing more than three years ?
Do you think it depends on your achievements or on what kind of an owner you got (patience guy etc..) ?

I thought you meant longest homerun. Geez, I am not sure, I think 3 years is the most, but as long as you do good you will keep getting offers. It isn't like the real world where you go to the seventh game of the ALCS and then get canned because your starting pitcher can't finish the game.

Grady Little, Boston Red Sox Manager Fired after going to Game 7 of the ALCS, 2003.

Edit: Not fired. Just not resigned, which would not happen in OOTP. As long as you continue to win you will always be resigned. So your contract can really go on for 100 years.

The longest contract I was given was a 4 year deal worth about 2.5 M. It was my second year with the team after reaching the World Series and the year before reaching my Leagues Championship Series. I was surprised he gave me an extension, cause the owners mood is rated as a bad dude, and his expectations are alway win it all in xxxx.

I'm in the middle of a 4 year, $5.4 million contract right now (which is actually kind of annoying, because it's completely destroying my budget).

I didn't realize that your manager salary is added to your own budget ?! So a having a cheap contract is actually better as you can get a FA for the rest of the money.
