Junior to Atlanta?

http://www.ajc.com/braves/content/sp...ore/index.html

You think griffey could play well in Atlanta? And can he stay healthy? Big Question marks...I think this deal Could happen.

I though this thread was going to be about Junior Samples.

This is Terrence "Im a Dumbass" Moore's ramblings- ignore him. He's a racist, idiotic, and generally god awful writer- kinda like Rob Parker from Detroit or Phil Rogers/Jay Mariotti from Chicago.

This sounds like a terrible idea. Move Andruw out of CF? Maybe once he gets older and slows down some more but not now.

Chipper is not an option at 3rd either. I think I'll take Aadik's advice and ignore him.

Atlanta? I think Junior has DH written all over him. If anything, for his own safety's sake. The guy can't play more than three games in the field without risking life and/or limb.

I also don't see the Yankees having any interest in Griffey, nor the fire power to deal for him if they wanted too.

This article is a load of crap.

Ouch. Like Brian Cashman hasn't already thought about trading for Griffey and moving him to second.

I'm not sure they have the prospects and I'm almost certain they wouldn't be interested regardless.

Let's not pretend however that if Steinbrenner threw Bernie + cash to pay 50 - 75% of his salary he couldn't get it done.

Substitute player X for Bernie (Lofton, Sheff in a year or two, whomever) my point was there is precedent for acquiring players using a bunch of cash. Just because the Yanks are lacking top shelf prospects right now doesn't mean something can't be worked out.
