To get a good idea of what some of the people are doing take a visit to the "Inside the Ropes" forum. As stated many times, the game is limited only by your own imagination and energy.
It's a great game. Roy |

I bought the game when it first came out intending to run mostly historical sims & dream fights. I never even really considered creating a universe. However, it wasn't long before the urge to create my own fight world overtook me & soon that aspect of the game became dominant.
Personally, I think one of the game's biggest strengths is its flexibility. You've got people who just run historical replays, you've got others who have created very specific era or weight class sims, you've got others who have huge universes using all of the fighters and running thousands of fights via the autoscheduler, you've got others running relatively small universes primarily by hand and you've got everything in between. Some people age fighters, others fight only at prime. Some people have thoroughly researched weight classes or eras and rated real fighters who weren't originally in the game (and also gladly share their newly rated fighters), and others have created universes of totally fictional fighters. Some of the things take a little more work than others, but I've been able to find a way to accomplish pretty much everything I've wanted to do one way or another. It is a great game, and good luck. |

Thats the great thing about this game. I sometimes use it as a simulation device to check out current fights before they happen. I also run a universe. Check out Some of the great ones people have done that have websites very inspirational. : )

I have:
- Deleted all groups, and made a new Governing Body-type group. - Reduced the number of weight classes to 10 by merging some classes. - Began new tournaments to crown a champion at each of the ten weight classes. Thus far Jose Aguirre came out on top of the pile for Straweights, and Pongsaklek Wongjongkam is YOUR Flyweight Champ. - Brought Ricardo Lopez and Naseem Hamed out of retirement. - Created continental groups and titles. I plan to: - Run two cards each virtual week. - Have each world and regional champ defend once every three months. - Move guys up in career stage / retire guys as appropriate. - Create a new guy in place of each retired fighter, with random stats. - Create a guy who will be a 'Young Ali' - basically Ali but with 'Beginning'-type stats. See how he progresses. It's a really cool game, IMHO. Yet to be seen how suited it is to creating this time-based universe I'm trying out. |
