Fictional generic ageing formula?
I've been keeping up with the other post about generic ageing formulas for the fighters. I see where there would be a hard time to have a Real fighter age "accurately" in the game in such a way that pleases everyone.
But I was wondering if it will ever be possible to run a fictional universe with "made up" fighters and have them age from the beginning of their career onto retirement the way the OOTP Baseball game does? I know that I am a goofball, but I would love for this game to have a setting to start a universe the way the baseball game has that will allow you to setup a "custom" universe that will allow you to fill it with "fictional players" and then follow them through their careers. It really wouldn't matter how or when someone "peaked" because they are all fictional anyway. Not knowing when or how would be the best part of the game Sorry if this has been discussed before, but I just love "fictional" settings so that I can get to know guys with out "expecting" a certain performance a head of time. I have an idea that the future role playing game is going to do more of that as I understand it at least.

I believe that's what is planned for the RP version of the game due out in a year or so. The ageing module is supposed to be much more sophisticated -- taking into account things like frequency of fights, quality of opposition, burnout, tough fights, etc. The management side is what should make or break the game.
Personally, I enjoy the historical sims and purchased the game for that purpose but find more and more that the bulk of my gameing has switched to the fictional universe I created. |

Thanks guys,
I do LOVE THIS GAME JUST AS IS!!! I to have grown fond of my fictional universe. I was just thinking that an ageing formula would not have to be as ridged with fictional guys since accuracy is not the goal. Thanks for replying! |

I hope the Rp version have like atraining where you set a fight for march and its january and your in the middle weight division and if your last fight was 8 months and you come in at 176 pounds you have to lose the weight by running and sparring and less food intake that will make the game great and letss say your a ww and your moving up to jmw you come in training at 144 now u need 10 pounds you would have to weight lifts less running and stuff like that!
Instead of weight going straight to the arm have it go to the legs by doing legs exercise or stomach by doing abs excersises That would be so COOL! |
