Possible Kobe Destination

http://www.foxsports.com/content/view?contentId=2148788

There also a nother link on that site saying the Clippers might be able to work a sign a trade so Maggette with go to LA with others i'm guessing for Kobe.

I think Utah stands a good chance...if kobe wants Money thats his best option....Utah can offer the most from what i read. Rape charges or not i bet Kobe will consider Utah heavily if he gets that huge offer

From what I heard LA can offer the most money.

Really? i thought they were strapped...If they had money why didn't they give more to Payton or Malone...didn't they both sign for the Vetern's min or somthing? just so they could have a chance to win. I may be wrong...

Doesn't matter anyway....Kobe doesn't want to be in LA anymore....

Unless your talking about the Clippers, which i dont think you are. But if you are, then totally disregard everything i just said. lol

The whole reason Kobe wants to leave is to show everyone that he was the star of the Laker run. He wants to be the biggest star there is in the league so he will only go to a team where that could happen like Philly, Boston, Chicago, I dont think he'd go to the Clippers because they will always be the 2nd team in LA. He wouldn't go to somewhere like Utah or Phoenix or somewhere like that in a million years.

It wouldn't happen in Philly for a few reasons....

1. The Sixers don't have enough money available.

2. He isn't well liked in Philly by any stretch of the imagination.

3. He would take the backseat to Iverson because Allen is the most popular athlete in the city period not even an arguement.

I like Memphis as a destination, I wouldn't rule Chicago out either. I don't like the Boston fit because of Paul Pierce being there and Ainge has apparently decided to do what the Sixers do with Iverson and surround him with absolutely nothing.

Memphis may be possible because West is there, I'm not sure what kind of relationship they have. And I bring up Philly cuz I don't think Iverson will be there next year, he's frustrated and I think its time for a change

I personally hope Iverson is there next year, he has been the heart and soul of the franchise and flat out saved the franchise from becoming the Clippers. If he gets traded there will be serious reprecussions from the fans. Otherwise I think he stays, he wants to play there and he has always said he would like to end his career here. As much as I dislike Kobe, he would be 1 of a very small handful of guys that I could accept the Sixers acquiring if Iverson had to leave.

This is all contingent on his being acquitted, of course, but the safe money is on the Lakers. It is exceptionally rare for a player to leave his original team and sign elsewhere since the sloted salary system was initiated. The only exceptions would be if the team doesn't have enough money to re-sign him (not the case here), the player absolutely does not want to play in the city (not the case here) or a wild card. I guess the speculation about him wanting to prove that he was the star of the Lakers championship teams is possible, but I think he will take the max salary and promise of more rings with the Lakers.

I think Kobe would be a good fit in the East. The west is to dominate right now and with Kobe on an East team, we may have a chance at de-throuning the west!!!

the west has too much talent. I think Iverson will be out of philly also. I'm just not sure which teams could make a trade with philly and have philly get the amount of talent they will want

If I was the Sixers? No. They wouldn't gain any production and they would lose fan support, Iverson sells more jersey's/shoes/clothes then any athlete in the NBA, especially within Philadelphia. He also sells the place out every night, as good as Kobe is I don't know that this would happen if he were there because as I've said a million times (you guys are probably getting tired of this lol) the city really doesn't like him and it could hurt attendance.

If I was the Lakers? Probably. Iverson has always wanted to play with dominant big man and if Kobe is leaving Iverson is the best they could get for him. On the other hand, not sure how liked Iverson is in LA and how much that would affect the things I mentioned above with Kobe in philly. Though I'm positive Kobe is disliked more in Philly than Iverson in LA, speaking as a whole of course.
