Potential New League........Questions

OK guys, here's the scoop. I've been looking for a Cubs franchise forever, and keep ending up in less than perfect (to say the least) leagues where I get one. I've given this some though, and I've decided if I get the support, I would like to start one of my own in order to get my Cubs squad. Now, some things. While I've been commish in a number of fantasy football/baseball leagues, never in an OOTP. If that scares you, I'm cool with that. I need help, and I'm looking for both a co-commish and/or a site developer/maintenance person. I have the commish of another league I'm in who will help me until I get the hang of things. It may be a bit rough on the technical side of things initially, but the league will be EXTREMELY ORGANIZED. I know exactly what I'm looking to do, and everything will be in place before we start. If you're anxious to start tomorrow, wrong league. Assuming I get the help I need to start this league, we will start with an 04 roster set. There will be financial systems in place, possibly a luxury tax, but most likely just penalties for teams that aren't profitable. If you don't want a commish who takes a good team, wrong league. I'm taking the CUBS, no ifs ands or buts. Part of my reason for doing this is there are SO MANY soap operas in my other leagues, both of which I think are GREAT leagues. The only way for me to control what goes on is to run the league. Couple of other things. I played (and subsequently quit) REAL beisbol, ran by fitterer. Also played in APBL with him until he got booted recently. I know his reputation, have no real proof outside of what I read. He has approached me with an offer to do the site maintenance if I let him in. If you feel that me allowing him to do site maintenance would bring the integrity of the league into play, I want you to let me know. I know he would have no control over the passwords or sims. IF I let him in, I would make him take the Tigers, and would seriously moniter and possibly restrict his posting privileges. If all of you feel that that would not be in the best interest of the league, let me know. I REFUSE to let him in if everyone says no matter what I put in place, it wouldn't work. (I'm not trying to start a long fitterer thread here. a yes or no is fine. No smiley's eating popcorn please) So there you have it. IF we do this thing, it will be a great league, but I will need help up front. You can ask many ootp'ers what kind of owner/community member I am. Cubs are spoken for of course, and D-Rays are as well.
We'll play all teams.

I reccomend this guy to anyone who's willing to help. He's a classy guy, and will run a great league. If anyone has time on their hands, and knows how to design a site and is willing to help out, here's the place to do so.

This will be a great league, I promise a great site, great owners, and great organization from Matt. He didnt work out in my league because he heard too many things and didnt want to get involved in the drama that existed. This will be a great, drama free league.

Matt will be a better then you think commish. He has the time, knowledge of the game, knowledge of commishing, and I am sure the owners he brings in will be top notch as well.

Just before everyone starts thinking I'm one and the same with you know who............(like I know that won't happen) I asked fitterer not to post on this thread, but he did before he saw my message allegedly. Anyhow. If you just want to turn this into another fitt's thread, please turn around and look for another league. I have no time for that.

TheSpiceOfLife aka Mfitterer aka Car Wash Kid aka FitDog is the biggest cheater in the history of OOTP Online Baseball and a known license stealer. Any league with Mfitterer WILL fail because no body will join a league with him.

The entire OOTP community dislikes TheSpiceOfLife and everything he does will result in madness!

Cowboy, the first line is not needed. I have the most respect for Matt Anderson, more than anyone I know in OOTP. I told him the affects of mfit daddy. I'm sure mfit won't become part of the league, but this league will be great.

Hey all, first off, on OOTP6, not sure if we'll wait for that or not. Would probably ask for input once we have owners in place. Seems some are concerned with potential bugs of new version. We'll see. I'm getting quite a few requests for teams already, as well as a few offers to help out, which is great. I'm at work right now, but will try to update which teams have been asked for by the end of the business day today. Maybe on my lunch hour or something. Also wanted to mention the sim schedule that I'm going to abide by. We're going to go 5 days at a time until the trade deadline. I will initially try to run 3 sims/week, but if that gets to be too much for me, I may cut down to 2. After the deadline, we'll either go 15 day sims, or 7 and 8 or something similar to speed things up a bit for the non contenders, yet keep us in line with the 15 day dl...............keep that in mind if your interested. I'm not looking to run a league that will be at the year 2010 in a month.

Scratch that, they're probably gone. Can I just be the entire AL Central? I'm pretty sure I'd have a good team then.

Exactly what is the opposite way? I don't sit around reading the boards 24/7, and the simmers I know, I'm in leagues with. This was the easiest way. It's highly doubtful fitterer will be in the league or allowed to design it just on the initial feedback I'm getting.

Guys, you who hang around here 24/7 may think I'm joking, but I'm not. This will be an above reproach, extremely organized, long lasting league. I won't put up with any bs, and I'd prefer to spot it before I let it into the league. I won't be dissuaded by those of you who criticize my way of inviting people. If you know something that you think would be beneficial to me to know, I would appreciate an email. If you don't want to join, that's fine, I already made that abundantly clear. But don't trash me because of the way I'm ATTEMPTING to put this together. I'm not stupid, and I wasn't born yesterday. I know what I'm trying to accomplish here, and if I can't do it, it won't proceed.

IF YOU ARE NOT COMPLETELY ABOVE REPROACH IN OOTP LAND, DON'T ASK TO BE IN. I can't babysit. Now, please, no more about those 2.
