Future League Baseball Begins Recruiting!

Hi,

I have been working on Future League Baseball for months now - you can view the website at futureleague.net . The league will not actually start until a few conditions are met (in addition to getting owners) - check the website for more info on that.

The purpose of the league will be to emulate what could possibly happen to the MLB in coming years. The opposite of a historical league, if you will. For example, when the current CBA expires in 2007, we will "negotiate" a new one.

FLB's uniqueness comes from its transaction rules, which closely mirror those of the MLB. I have tried to include as many as possible without getting too boring and nitpicky. Some highlights are the 40-man roster and the Rule 5 Draft. The most intriguing aspect, however, is the agents. FLB will have participants acting as player agents who negotiate with the owners and submit figures to arbitration. For more information, again, check out the website or IM me (contact info below).

All officers in the league may not run a team.

Guys, I don't know Slant's record as a comish, but if he puts anywhere near the work I've seen in the website and rules he did into the league, you guys have a good start - If I was looking for a modern league, This would be the one of my choice..

Not many of you have replied. I suspect its because you're not interested in contributing to the 40-man roster project.

Well, that's perfectly okay. Seriously. Don't be afraid, you'll still have nearly the same chance as getting your first choice team in any other league.

So, whether you want to contribute or not, please answer my emails!
