coaches deleted

I'm an online commish. After I ran the first round of the playoffs, with several stops to give game-by-game reports, I discovered that all the coaches have disappeared. I don't know exactly when it happened, b/c I had run through the whole first round before I noticed.

I'm surprised I couldn't find this topic anywhere, b/c I encountered this exact same problem in a league that folded for other reasons - I wasn't the commish. I have a backup of the pre-playoff files, but it doesn't look like the coaches info is contained in a separate file - is there a way to reconstitute it other than manually (no way) or by re-running the playoffs? Thanks.

You must be using an older version of the game as this was an old problem, d/l the last update and this is corrected.

Huh - I don't think so, b/c I only bought the game last June - has there been a patch since then?

In any case, once I get the latest, what do I need to do - I assume they won't just reappear, so is there a way to resurrect them, or do I need to re-run the playoffs? Thanks.

You could check the "pool" of coaches and see if they are in there, I don't know as I have not personally had the problem. Otherwise you can see if someone has an old copy of the file and then using the create function, create new versions of the coaches, etc after looking at the other file and make "notes" on them. Or, re-play the playoff using that old copy of the file.

I do believe that updates have been issued since June.

Thanks. FYI, I just found out that the zip league file I sent out did not have the problem, so I can use that. I don't get it...
