Modifying Extensions

Any way to edit an extension once it's been signed?

tMBU uses a Player Agent (me), and I'd like to be able to have Joe Schmoe (who's hitting .233 with 2 dingers 80 games into the season) sign an extension for like $350k / 2 years. However, Joe thinks he's worth $1.2m / 4 years. So I'd love to be able to sign the $1.2m extension and then edit it.

Otherwise, I guess I can edit the contract once the season rolls over, but that's a pain.

Thanks,
- - - JSB

Don't think that's possible as of now.

Nope, you have to do it when the season rolls over.

Instead of editing an EXTENSION, edit his existing contract...

I'm not sure if that works....

You can just + or - cash from their team to make up the difference for when the season rolls over.

None of that really works, but I appreciate the suggestions. If a player signs a 2 yr, $3m/yr extension, and he won't take less than 4 yr @ $5m, that's a huge difference.

The suggestions made don't solve my problem, as much as I appreciate them.
