Playing with new patch, in the pbp when the program decides to show "late/close game" stats for the batter, it shows "situatios"
Here's another, it says a player did such and such in "yesterdays" game, should have the apostrophe. One more: I just got a message saying that the player "let's it roll into foul ground" on a 2 strike bunt. Should be "lets" When listing bad stats vs a certain team, it says "not succesful", should be successful. [ March 04, 2002: Message edited by: Yossarian ]
|

lol, i find this funny b/c i know you arent hating but just tryin to help. actually i found a grammatical error in the news section. pujols had hit for the cycle and the news said, He was the first collect a cycle. it should be He was the first [to] collect a cycle. but its kool. grammatical errors happen. maybe you should work as the grammatical man and help markus out with that. i'm sure it would put less pressure on him and he wouldnt have to worry about it. even though i think they just got the guy from fantasy baseball to do that. he should be good.
edit: franchise baseball not fantasy...hehe [ March 05, 2002: Message edited by: YankeePride ]
|

How about player heights? eg. 6"4 instead of 6'4
Not a biggie, but I was also surprised to see that the "loose/lose" mixup is still in the scouting reports, as is my favorite "he's got a great stoke" :-)

But isn't it nice that we have commas now instead of periods?

Here's some more.
In the box score: manager was ejected for "argueing a called strike" In many places the reversed apostrophe ("it`s") is used, in other places the regular one ("he's") is used. It would look better if it was consistent. In one pbp, the "upire" was making some bad strike calls and I was able to argue. Markus if you want me to look over the text files for any inaccuracies drop me a line, I would be glad to help out. [ March 05, 2002: Message edited by: Yossarian ]
|

I've seen the pbp make reference to "waiving" goodbye to a home run.
