Trade Deadline

When exactly is the trade deadline in OOTP? Do you have an option where you can set it because I dont see it. Thanks.

It's July 31st and it can not be changed.

Would that be the same if playing a shorter season? I am planning a 90 game schedule, starting in early May, will July 31 still be the trade deadline? It doesn't bother me, as in that length of season, it would actually be quite appropriate at that point, but it would be useful to have that confirmed. Thanks in advance.

My suggestion would be to figure out where you want the deadline to be in the season and adjust Opening Day accordingly.

You want your trade deadline moved back one month to allow more trading?
1. Download <a href="http://baseballsimcentral.com/dloads/Detailed/2038.shtml" target="_blank">Stickware's Schedule Generator</a>
2. Create a schedule..
3. Start your season on March 1st instead of April 1st. This will give you one more month worth of trading.

Basically.. the trade deadline never changes... it stays at July 31st... but you are just moving your "season start date"

Hope this helps those that want to "move" their trade deadline.

My suggestion would be to figure out where you want the deadline to be in the season and adjust Opening Day accordingly.
