i recently wiped out my entire hard drive and installed a new OS. in the process, i obviously lost my ootp4 info, program and account ID authorization. after a few days of emailing elicense support i finally got my info and decided to re-DL OOTP4 from this website. after DL'ing it and running it i got a prompt to either buy it or license it. i chose license and was connected to some servers for authorization while i waited. after a few seconds it said it was verified and and the program closed. i tried to re-open it and all i get now is errors and it doesn;t open. i re-DL'ed it 3 times and and still get the same error message every time i try to open it "this program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down-----if the problem persists, contact the program vendor" and when i click into "details" i get "OOTP4 caused an invalid page fault in module <unknown> at 0000:00000000." Can someone please help me?

Have you uninstalled the game and reinstalled it again?
Are you missing a file? Do you have the ELiscence control installed on your Computer? |

Check your control panels you should have a icon that says Eliscence Control... if you do and the game was successfully liscenced then it will have the OOTP4 icon in there and you can check the liscence details.
Do you have all the required files in your OOTP4 directory? |

Scott,
I have the same exact problem. I went to the Control Panel, and then to eLicence Control. Under that file, it has the "Out of the Park Developments" file... and on the right side is one file..."Out of the Park Baseball"... Do I need to copy all of the other files over here too? Thanks! |

Look at that "Out of the Park Baseball" file you describe (in the right window using Windows Explorer) - right click on it to see the license details and the product reciept. If it says the license state is "licensed" then you are all set - if it is not licensed you need to license it (AKA buy the game) before you can play. If you have already bought the game but have lost your licenses you will need to contact eLicense and they can trace the purchase through your credit card. eLicense support: Viatech eLicense support team Costumer support for eLicense problems like lost order IDs or lost licenses support@elicense.com Phone: 866-723-3376 (between 9am and 5pm EST) If you have never licensed the game: The license screens should come up when you attempt to play the game, I don't remember much about them because they are pretty simple and user friendly (Step by step guide here: <a href="http://www.ootp4.com/installation.shtml" target="_blank">http://www.ootp4.com/installation.shtml</a> ). Hello,
Thanks for the help so far..... I'm still not doing something right. I went into the control panel, then into eLicence control, and right clicked on the OOTP icon. It says that the product is licensed. However, I still get the same error message- and I cannot run the game. If anybody can help some more, please let me know. Thanks again! |

Are you sure that the game won't work already?

Check to make sure the Shortcut is finding the right target.. it might be trying to find the previous installation of the game.
