Question 2004 console baseball game(s?)

After playing the heck out of OOTP im starting to get the urge to jump back into a 'graphical' baseball game.

There is a pretty good preview/interview for MVP 2004 over at gamespot which is actually a pretty honest interview for a game developer. The game is looking pretty good.

Are there any other games on the way? Whats the state of the high heat franchise? I know 3do went under but does the game still have a life somewhere?

Are there any other contenders out there?

I have MVP baseball for PS2. I only played it a couple times and then went out and bought ESPN baseball by Sega. MVP was horrible, a step down from the old Triple Play games I remember but ESPN baseball was highly addictive. It's still pretty much the only PS2 game I play.

Ive played MVP a couple times, but only head to head so not enough to have much of an opinion on it.

i liked mvp, but it was easy, and unpolished. I expect it to be better. My favorite has always been high heat. World Series was a little too unrealistic, but the franchise mode is really good. And All-star baseball, is pretty good, but there is something about it that bugs me.

And i too am wondering what will become of High Heat series. I'll miss it if its gone.

changing the subject a little, but just to let you know:
NFL Street is coming out on the 15th (in 4 days), and it is supposed to be good.

MVP looks awsome: The dynasty mode looks cool, its just why have AAA, and AA and no A? Available this spring
